Man faces multiple drug charges after raid

A man in New York has been charged with trafficking potentially lethal combinations of illegal drugs. In August, the Drug Enforcement Agency raided the man’s home on Walton Avenue. They claim to have found bricks of illegal substances stuffed in a hidden compartment in the man’s shower. More bricks of illegal drugs were said to have been found in the man’s bedroom.

When police brought the bricks to a lab for testing, they reportedly discovered that the bricks contained a potentially deadly combination of fentanyl, heroin, meth and tramadol. According to media sources, another brick was made from fentanyl, heroin and tramadol. During the raid, the authorities also claim to have found 10 bottles of ketamine, four pounds of narcotics, quinine, drug paraphernalia and $1,000 in cash.

If these drugs hadn’t been seized, the potent combination of fentanyl and other drugs could have caused multiple fatal overdoses. One of the agents pointed out that many people think they’re getting one drug and end up getting a cocktail of deadly narcotics. Without the police raid, the agent believes that as many as 50,000 doses of these drugs could have been released into the streets. The man has received multiple drug charges, including possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.

How may an attorney help a person facing drug charges?

Drug crimes can range from possessing a small amount of marijuana to trafficking drugs across the state. If you’re facing drug charges, you might want to hire an attorney immediately. An attorney may be able to help you protect your rights and make sure the prosecution acted lawfully. You might not know everything about the legal system, so your attorney may guide you throughout the trial and offer advice to ensure that you receive the best possible outcome.
